I recently discovered a great source of objective information about drugs and supplements. The internet is loaded with drug and supplement marketing information, and it is hard for most of us to separate advertising from sound, objective information.
Developed by Sidney Wolfe, M.D., the website Worst Pills, Best Pills, contains a wealth of information about both drugs and supplements. I believe it to be one of the most objective sources of such information. There is a fee to subscribe to the website, $15/year, which seems reasonable.
They publish a monthly newsletter of latest findings regarding drugs. The newsletter also contains helpful tips regarding the use of prescription drugs and supplements. I recently downloaded an article Nine Rules for Safer Drug Use from the site. I will be posting other information on this blog as it becomes available.
