Dinner

We went to a Chinese restaurant. It was a popular restaurant, but the menu had nothing I could order without modification. The sauces were all swimming in oil, and probably salt. The waitress spoke very little English, but I was able to get her to understand, "Steam the vegetables and tofu." and "No salt please." So I ended up okay with white rice, steamed vegetables and sauce on the side, which I didn't touch because it was swimming in oil and salt. However, the bean sprout free appetizer was very spicy and very good. It appeared to be fat and salt free. So I ordered an extra portion and mixed it in with the vegetables. My creation was really pretty good. Another restaurant meal survived fairly well.

Steamed Chinese mixed vegetables (mushrooms, cabbage, bok choy, mushrooms, onions, bamboo shoots and carrots) a little white rice and some hot and spicey bean sprouts mixed in.
