Hi Howard,

I like the new additions to your blog (at right). I'm reading a book called "The Tipping Point" by Malcomlm Gladwell, about how social viruses spread. I recommend it. I think we can get some tips on how to spread the virus of healthy eating. :)

Barb,

I like Malcom Gladwell's books. I have read "Blink" and recently "Outliers," which is excellent. I'll look for "Tipping Point." Healthy eating is much harder to spread than a virus.

But, on the positive side, my son and his girlfriend where here this weekend. I had lots of healthy food around and they really like it. They both had my smoothies both mornings and loved them. Progress? Maybe!

I think lots of people are open to healthy eating, but have no role models to help them overcome the perceived social barriers to eating right. When they see people like you and me doing this, it is an enabler. "If he can do it, why can't I?" We need more role models in high places, like the President and actors/actresses, etc.
