Workout 12 Trike Training - 17 miles

Went for a leisurely 17 mile ride with my friend and neighbor Lenny. We both have recumbent trikes and it is fun to ride together. We rode from Lenny's home to St. Armand's Circle to South Lido Park back through the circle and then back home. There was quite a bit of traffic on St. Armand's Circle, a main tourist attraction in the area. The weather was just about perfect in the high 60's and sunny.

In the afternoon I did 134 pushups and 36 ab crunches.

oh my gosh, 134 pushups? I can only do 2 full pushups. And I've been working on it for 1.5 years. But I'm improving so I'm happy with my 2. You must be getting a lot of Vitamin D now. I have to take mine in the form of supplements. Say, I started up a new blog with my exercise log too. :)

I'll check out the new blog. Women have a hard time with upper body stuff. Check out the PerfectPushup device...www.perfectpushup.com I have been using it for several months and it is a great upper body workout in a very short period of time.

First you have to be able to do a pushup to use that, right? I'll wait until I can do more than 2.

You can start with pushups with your knees on the ground to build up your basic strength and then graduate to full-fledged pushups. The PPushups allow you to go deeper and do the pushups without hurting your shoulders.
